I am passionate about organizations, understanding them, helping them to function better, making them socially relevant, creating places of initiative & collaboration for professionals, networks of learning, creativity and innovation. The key question for me stays : “how can organizations ‘reinvent’ themselves in such a way that they can perform sustainably and continue to develop in a rapidly changing, complex and unpredictable technological, political, economic and social environment”.
How can organizations create ‘value’ for society and not just profit for a few at the expense of others or of our own planet?
I have embodied that passion throughout my career. As Learning & Development director in large organizations, as an internal consultant on change management, team & organizational development. That was also the starting point for Move! BV, an independent consulting practice : assisting organizations with their challenges, not by driving our solutions into organizations, but by supporting all stakeholders and help them take matters into their own hands.
After nearly 20 years I decided to close down Move! My experience as a caregiver for my mother who suffered from Parkinson’s, challenging and rewarding at the same time, lead me to the next challenge. I started as OD and L&D internal consultant at the Wit-Gele Kruis. And here too, of course, the question arises of how we can organize qualitative home care in a sustainable way and how we can make a social contribution in a time healthcare and especially homecare are under pressure. How to support sick or/and old people in order for them to be able to stay at home in their known and trusted environment.
I accumulated over the years a lot of interesting OD stuff, and wanted to continue to share that with all other OD and HR practitioners. So, I brought together a number of websites, tools, articles, etc…of my Move! days and even prior to that, in this one site so that I can still contribute to the ‘learning about organisations’.
If you have questions, want to test ideas about organizations or have experienced or written something interesting about organizations that you would like to share, you can always send me an email.
